Every bowl has a story
and ours begins with curry
What is Kiiro?
Kiiro is the first Japanese curry house in the Netherlands. We serve build-your-own bowls inspired by Japan’s most-loved comfort food: warm, golden curry over rice, made the way you want it.
The name says it all. Kiiro means “yellow” in Japanese, a nod to the turmeric that gives our curry its rich colour and warmth.
Why Japanese curry?
In Japan, curry isn’t just food, it’s comfort. It’s what families cook on a rainy Sunday. It’s the meal students eat between classes. It’s quiet, generous, and made to be shared.
We brought that feeling to the Netherlands because we believe everyone deserves a bowl that feels like home.
How it works
Every bowl at Kiiro starts with you.
- Pick your base. Rice, noodles, or greens.
- Choose your toppings. From crispy katsu to torpedo-ebi shrimp.
- Set your spice. Mild, medium, or fire.
No two bowls are the same, and that’s the point. Make it yours.
Our philosophy
We curry about you. That’s not a slogan, it’s how we cook.
Every recipe is built on three things: real Japanese flavours, fresh ingredients, and a bowl you can actually customise. No shortcuts, no gimmicks. Just curry done properly.
